Quick Overview

Original dark red wool unit flag with sewn on castle and battalion designation. The guidon has the leather attachments in the loop and also the QM tag. The unit was redesignated as the 723rd Railway Operating Battalion, Transportation Corps, on 1 December, 1942. It saw action in the ETO and received campaign credits for Northern France, Rhineland and Central Europe. It had occupation duty in Germany from 2 May-30 October 1945. Original guidons are extremely hard find as only a handful were made for each unit during WWII. This will make a great and unique addition to a collection.

Very good condition.
