Quick Overview

Poignant document group ID-ed to Earl E. Eichelberger, ASN 33723930, who enlisted on May 1, 1943. Eichelberger served as a PFC with Company E, 309th Infantry Regiment, 78th Division when he was killed in Germany on March 14, 1945 at the age of 23. Also included are two letters in one envelope, two V mails and one letter on Red Cross stationary. All these were written by Eichelberger to his wife in 1945. The contents is very moving.
