Map of Ste Mère Église

Map of Ste Mère Église

Quick Overview

Marked Second Edition (Apr 1944). Scale 1:25.000. This 'large scale' map (small area with much detail) is typical for combat use. It measures about 78.5 x 55 centimeters and was recently found along with similar scale maps on a flea market in Normandy. It has some stains, especially at the quadrant of Blosville and Hiesville, and was definitely used during the war. Of special interest is the blue hand drawn arrow at the top of the map. This seems to correspond with a small blue colored field on the map. The lower right corner of the maphas some holes, probably due to poor storage over the years. But overall the paper is sound. The scale and grid coordinates make it excellent for research. The map will look great framed and is perfect for anyone with particular interest in the battle around Ste Mère Église. Will be shipped as an insured package with tracking.
