Dr. Pepper neckgrip bottle carrier

Quick Overview

An inventive design made of Masonite. When many materials became scarce during the war Soda producers looked for other ways to carry bottles. One of the results was the neckgrip carrier. Coca Cola also had a neck grip carrier but the Dr. Pepper design seems to be more advanced (although the patent for the design as still pending at the time of production). It still has its orginal rope. Also see additional pages from The Coca Cola Bottler magazine of January 1944. The last photo shows the Dr. Pepper carrier with bottle but it is for display only. The bottle does not come with the carrier. Very nice and hard to find wartime Dr. Pepper item.

Very good condition.
