With wire buckle and 1st type springclips. The maker's stamp is no longer present but this seems to be a Scholl Mfg. Co., Inc. headband from a 1942 contract, based on the construction. Also it has the fabric stitched over the leather instead of under. Only four makers produced headbands like this during mid 1942. Early production headbands with wire buckle and especially with the fabric stitched over the leather are hard to find. This example is in nicely used, great for display or to be put in a liner. It comes from the M-1 Helmet.com collection stock. Very good condition.
