Varga Pin Up gatefold \"Matrimony Preferred\"

€40.00

Gatefold of the Esquire magazine of June 1944. Alberto Vargas followed up George Petty as the Pin Up artist with Esquire magazine in 1941.

His 'Varga-girls' soon became famous and his work was inspirational for nose-art on many planes. Varga created a series of Pin Ups which were presented in the magazine as 'Gatefolds' (fold out posters). Stunning artwork that was most popular among GI's! Verse by Phil Stack. There are some stains on the poster. Size is approximately 44 x 35 centimeters.

This will look awesome framed! Very good condition.
