Quick Overview

Double deck published by Esquire magazine in 1943, unopened and still in its cellophane packaging! This is a super rare find with only a tear in the cellophane at the backside. The set is copyrighted on the side of the box, which is visible through the cellophane. Both decks are in the box, of course still sealed and complete with four suits, Bridge scoring card and dated Joker. Advertised in various Esquire magazines of 1943 (see last photo, advertising does not come with the playing cards). Varga was the Nr 1 Pin Up artist of all GI's! These playing cards certainly found their way to GI's footlockers! Perfect wartime display item and impossible to upgrade! The opened box and shown decks are from another set and only to display what is in the box. You receive the unopened set.

Excellent condition.
