Quick Overview

Three photos from the same event. Backs have handwritten 1945 Germany on them, one also has a name. Research indicates this was in Neu Isenburg near Frankfurt am Main on July 26, 1945 (see color still from film which is not included in this sale). On the first photo Truman is greeted by Brigade General Doyle O. Hickey, CG of the 3rd Armored Division. Ike's car with 5 star plate with Ike exiting on the far side can be seen. On the 2nd photo Ike faces Truman. The group includes Hickey and Lieutenant General Wade H. Haislip with 7th Army patch on the right. Also note vehicle with SHAEF on the white bumper. Third photo shows Hickey, Truman and others in the field with 3rd Armored Division troop. Sizes approx. 19 x 11 centimeters.
